One especially attentive dog parent came to us with a special case: their dog, whose hind legs had grown weak over time, relied mainly on the front legs to get around — which meant the chest and front legs had developed into an unusually muscular shape. Off-the-shelf gear with a fixed chest-panel ratio simply couldn't fit over such a broad chest, making it even harder for a dog who already struggled to move.
We re-selected the sizing based on the dog's actual body shape — the extra room built into the chest, shoulder line, and joints turned out to fit perfectly around those developed chest muscles. In the photos the owner sent us, their dog started out hesitating in the rain, step by step, and eventually broke into a happy, confident run.
Dogs with atypical body shapes are often forced to skip exercise simply because no gear fits them, especially on rainy days. That's the reason PETT2GO exists: we refuse one-size-fits-all design, and we're willing to work out the details for every dog that doesn't fit the mold.
